How do you spot water damage? Sometimes the damage will reveal itself with a simple spot or stain. It may look wet, brown, or the color of mildew. Other signs could be peeling or cracking paint, warped sheet rock or even wavy flooring. The damage may reveal itself to your nose and not your eyes. A damp or musty smell may permeate your space. The sound of water dripping can also raise the alarms.
